GW1 anniversary
Hello, new here i'm a GW2 players, and I am rally interested in the Lore, so i would like to play GW1 as well...but seeing how i go through a dry spell right now regarding money, and finding out about GW1 10th aniversary i was hopping for a discount or something.
Don't get me wrong, if i could i would pay the full price of those games, as i'm sure they are worth it, but right now i could use some saved up money. So i searched online and...i can't find anything regarding this, does NcSoft offer a discount on GW1? during the aniversary period? I know it's an old game so it is already quite cheap, so please don't hate me too much for this. If there is no discount i guess i will just buy GW1 one part at a time. Thank you for your time! |

i havent heard anything from anet or ncsoft
its cheap yes, so if you wont get a discount, better get these 2 http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guild_Wars_Trilogy and http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guild...atinum_Edition platinum costs less than eotn by itself, for some reason o_O saw that on the store site we'll have to wait for any news on the anniversary, but doubt much would come old anet would've done something huge, but this is anet2 (named after GW2, their favorite baby/moneysink) |

We are pretty sure there will be no special for the 10th anniversary. And ArenaNet hasn't put the game on sale in years. They sell it through their website at guildwars.com. Your only hope is to find a retail or online store with leftover stock.
Please do NOT buy a "used" game. ArenaNet does not allow transfer/sale of accounts, so if you get ripped off you will have no recourse to get your money back.

i forgot, but its easier to look here if you can afford and pay it
http://store.guildwars.com thats the official store also, keep all the info you get when buying the game, many people cant get back to their game, as they never kept their stuff like game keys and such and yeah, dont buy used games at all, no matter what people say, its bannable, and they do that pretty fast in those cases read the rules, and the following page for when you join GW, as people will scam you ingame: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Scam good luck |

I highly recommend starting in the original game first before you go making any characters in Factions or Nightfall. It's got a very unique feel to it the other ones can't provide. Think of the old saying "they don't make em' like they used to." Factions and Nightfall pretty much hand you everything and get you to a high level before experiencing much of the mainland content. In the original game you progress more slowly than the other games. I think it is more rewarding and gives you a chance to see the fine masterpiece of a game they released 10 years ago this month. Take it all in and enjoy! |

Try watching Steam sales. Last September they had all GW1 skus at 75% off.
